There are several great mapping programs out there and most people have likely only used one, Google Maps.
Depending on your need for a good, interactive, map there is a wealth of map sites available to match your interests. As a forester, my most useful place to go is the Simcoe County mapping service which presents the user with fairly accurate property boundaries and excellent forest detail, depicting trees in their early spring condition (leaves not present on deciduous trees yet). I will briefly show how I use the Simcoe site then go on to discuss other interesting mapping sites with a wide range of interesting applications, including Google of course.

- Simcoe County This is the one I use mostly. All spring photography. Simcoe County Only. Most adjacent counties have their own systems.
- Land Information Ontario Ontario coverage, prepared by the MNR. Covers all of Ontario.
- Navionics Mapping. Covers underwater contours world-wide
- Google Maps. Covers land features world-wide. The is the latest version of google maps.
